چکیده

We consider the problem of hypotheses testing with the basic simple hypothesis: observed sequence of points corresponds to stationary Poisson process with known intensity against a composite one-sided parametric alternative that this is a self-correcting point process. The underlying family of measures is locally asymptotically quadratic and we describe the behavior of score function, likelihood ratio and Wald tests in the asymptotics of large samples. The results of numerical simulations are presented. AMS 1991 Classification: 62M05.

We consider the problem of hypotheses testing with the basic simple hypothesis: observed sequence of points corresponds to stationary Poisson process with known intensity. The alternatives are stationary self-exciting point processes. We consider one-sided parametric and one-sided nonparametric composite alternatives and construct locally asymptotically uniformly most powerful tests. The result...

Objective Bayes testing of Poisson versus inflated Poisson models

The Poisson distribution is often used as a standard probability model for data involving counts. Quite often, however, such datasets are not well fit by a Poisson model because they contain more zero counts than are compatible with the Poisson model. For these situations, a zero-inflated Poisson (ZIP) distribution is often proposed. This article addresses testing a Poisson versus a ZIP model, ...

Sequential Testing of Simple Hypotheses about Compound Poisson Processes

One of two simple hypotheses is correct about the unknown arrival rate and jump distribution of a compound Poisson process. We start observing the process, and the problem is to decide on the correct hypothesis as soon as possible and with the smallest probability of wrong decision. We find a Bayes-optimal sequential decision rule and describe completely how to calculate its parameters without ...

Sequential Testing Problems for Poisson Processes

We present the explicit solution of the Bayesian problem of sequential testing of two simple hypotheses about the intensity of an observed Poisson process. The method of proof consists of reducing the initial problem to a free-boundary differential-difference Stephan problem, and solving the latter by use of the principles of smooth and continuous fit. A rigorous proof of the optimality of the ...
